The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria has collected some of the finest pieces of Asian art over the last 65 years of its history. Millennia: Asian Art through the Ages, presents over seventy masterworks from different time periods, cultures and media.

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is committed to high quality educational programming. We launched the Teacher Resource Guide in September, and since then, our Gallery educators Sherry Willing and Jen Van de Pol have been busy facilitating 1/2 day workshops in participating schools along with guest artists Alexis Hogan and April Russell.
The exhibition and publication of Millennia: Asian Art through the Ages was planned to present some of the finest and most interesting Asian works of art in the collection of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, to reveal to the general public the essence and unique artistic achievements of the various civilizations of Asia.
This new Gallery program consists of a series of lectures, tours, interactive programs and workshops with guest facilitators and speakers that will animate aspects of our diverse permanent collections. The first in this series will coincide with our exhibition Millennia: Asian Art through the Ages.
