The ever-popular Summer Small Works Show & Sale is back and once again creating opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their talent and gain exposure. Don't miss out on the chance to add a unique piece of art to your collection this summer!

Our annual Summer Small Works Show and Sale is opening June 13, 2024! A favourite in our community for artists and collectors alike, this Show & Sale energizes the Massey Sales Gallery with colour and vibrancy. Beginning with an open call for submissions, the Art Rental & Sales department sees a variety of work submitted by many artists local to Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, some familiar and some new.

“This show and sale displays the range of high quality artwork in our local arts community, and supports these artists with sales – some for the very first time!”

–  Erin Cooper, AR&S Coordinator

“This is my first time putting the Small Works show together and it’s all very exciting,” says Erin Cooper, Art Rental & Sales Coordinator, expressing her enthusiasm, “It’s an opportunity to showcase emerging artists alongside more established ones, creating a diverse and dynamic exhibition. The Small Works show will not only benefit the artists financially but also attract new art enthusiasts to appreciate and collect local artwork. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!”

Opening night is always buzzing with participating artists, their friends and family, Gallery staff and art-lovers looking for the perfect piece to add to their growing art collections.

Join us for the Opening Reception on Thursday June 13 from 5-8pm, where you can get the first look at the works and mingle with the artists while enjoying some snacks and refreshments. With such an eclectic range of creative mediums and styles, and at accessible price points, there is something for everyone!
