Every year in the fall, an abundance of artworks start to trickle into the Gallery, and an air of excitement and anticipation starts to grow. As Vancouver Island local artists bring in their selected works, Gallery visitors – and AGGV staff – begin to poke around the Art Rental & Sales department to see if they can catch a glimpse of the new artworks that will soon be bursting at the seams from the walls of the Massey Sales Gallery.
The annual Winter Small Works Show and Sale is a favourite among the art community of Victoria, artists and collectors, alike. Not only does this miniature blockbuster of local talent boast fabulous and affordable pieces by many Art Rental & Sales program artists, it also welcomes several artists who are new to the program, as well as artists who are displaying artwork for the very first time.
If you are an artist, collector or both, the Winter Small Works Show has something special for you, whether it be an opportunity to present your art to all of Victoria, or to take home the next best addition to your art collection.
