The Art Rental & Sales team at the AGGV has seen a busy summer filled with amazing community creativity. Our annual Summer Small Works Show & Sale opened June 18, and ran until August 27, and was incredibly popular with our Gallery visitors and clients. This year, we featured works from over 90 local artists, both established and emerging — as always, we were amazed at the creative talent and skill that our artistic community holds!
As we move forward into the fall, we are enjoying the ability to once again celebrate and share art and creativity with one another. Speaking to this, we have some exciting events planned for the upcoming months!
On Thursday October 7, our newest show will be opening — Stepping Out, a group show featuring all new works from five prolific local artists: Ken Horn, Irma Soltonovich, Miles Lowry, Corre Alice and Stéphanie Prest. These artists are all part of our Art Rental & Sales program, and respectively produce incredible work. We are lucky and excited to be showcasing their newest pieces in Stepping Out.
This show and sale will run until November 6, 2021. On the day of the show opening, Thursday, October 7, we will be holding a reception at the Gallery with all the artists in attendance. Don’t miss it! We hope you’ll join us, as we appreciate being able to experience and celebrate art together, once again.
Our Winter Small Works Show & Sale is also on the horizon this fall! Starting September 1, we will be open for submissions — we look forward to once again seeing and sharing the plentiful talent and creativity that is abundant within our community. Submissions will be received until October 15, 2021 — please visit our website to submit your work or learn more.
We thank our community for a great summer of creativity, and we look forward to another season inspired by an abundance of art.
