Florals, vibrant jewelry, and artful finds at the AGGV Gallery Shop celebrate the nearing of spring. Andria Winters, AGGV Gallery Shop Coordinator, helps us to discover unique wares, embrace the beauty of renewal, and shake off the winter blues in style!

While the snow drops make their first appearance, the AGGV’s Gallery Shop is warm and cozy with lots of inspiration and color to ward off the winter doldrums. In anticipation of spring, we’ve bloomed early at the shop for the sold-out 2025 Gallery Associates Lecture Series, Flower Art Fusions. Keeping in tune with that theme, we are stocking our shelves with all things flowers, florals, and bouquets!

Rising Moon Botanicals Flower Candles by Tessa Serra, Saltspring Island. Seed Packets by To & From Gift Co., Halifax. Inspired by the Victorian craze of floriography (the language of flowers).
Cards, books, and stationery sets, bursting with florals.

Spring brings a whole new colour palette to play with, and the Gallery Shop is featuring 12 new Canadian jewelers that add some bling and baubles to your favorite outfits. Pearls and colour are on trend, and we have something for every taste and every budget. Ogling at our jewelry selection is encouraged!

Freshwater Pearl Jewelry by Soma Mo. Inspired by the traditional dress of her Chinese heritage, every piece is handmade in Canada using a combination of traditional and modern skills, and is one of a kind.
Stylish homewares in gorgeous form-line design, popping with contrast and colour by Canadian Indigenous artists.

The exhibition Beauty of Mending: Kintsugi and Beyond is a delightful exhibition, where the broken is turned beautiful. Focusing on this traditional craft of repairing shattered ceramics with lacquer and gold, Vancouver-based artist, Naoko Fukumaro, takes this art form to new levels as she layers her pieces with stories of healing and wholeness. The Shop is happy to support this unique craft by offering pottery from Japan, “how-to” books, and even personalized “try-it” DIY (do it yourself) Kintsugi kits.

“BANKSY” card by Victoria artist, Carollyne Yardley. Books – This is Not a Photo Opportunity by Martin Bull, Banksy by Stefano Antonelli and Gianluca Marziani.  Puzzle – Street Fine Art Collection featuring artwork by Banksy.

Pop Art enthusiasts will be head over heels for the current exhibition, From Warhol to Banksy. The Gallery Shop is offering on-theme trinkets and treasures, along with books, puzzles, and more – all sharing Pop Art in wonderful ways. So, POP by the shop to put some SPRING in your step!
