Celebrating art and the wonderment of the creative spirit, the Gallery Shop has innovated, enhanced and upscaled its works and wares. Thanks to an outstanding and successful summer season, we are able to support even more local artists and artisans!
The Gallery Shop has expanded its consignment base to include multiple talented Vancouver Island artists, offering an expanded line of pottery, ceramics, art cards and of course… jewelry. Highlights include Teresa Easton’s colourful stamped ceramics, Jenn Y and her adorable Tiny Food Lab earrings, Karina Kalvaitis’ whimsical animal art cards and fan favorite, Ester Drone’s cute cat collectibles, just to name a few.
Looking to the past and into the future, the focus of the Gallery this fall continues to be on our exceptional exhibition, Generations: The Sobey Family & Canadian Art, the catalogue of which is the perfect addition to every art enthusiast’s library.
With winter months on the horizon, the shop is preparing for the upcoming exhibition, From Warhol to Banksy, which will highlight some of the most defining moments in Pop Art. Wares boasting images from this fantastic art movement are starting to pop up all over the shop… and Warhol is the perfect gift for art lovers of all ages!
Speaking of gifts, the holiday season is fast approaching, and so is our annual Members’ Appreciation Sale! From November 13 – 27, Members get 20% off in the Gallery shop and local fine art sales in the Art Rental & Sales department. This is the ideal time and place to find unique, meaningful and thoughtful tokens of affection while supporting local artists at the same time.
From the Gallery Shop staff and volunteers, thank you for your support of local artists, the shop itself, and the creative endeavors that move us all!
